Alta Data Technologies has released a 1-4 channel MIL-STD-1553 PCI interface card that provides advance new features for communications (such as JTIDs, Link-16, SADL), test and simulation.

New features such as transmission loop-back verification, A/D Signal Capture (to view and measure bus voltage), signal generator to generate complex test patterns for SAE AS4111/4112 protocol validation and multi BC, RT and Monitor buffering provide the customer the most advanced 1553 protocol engine features available on the market. When coupled with Alta’s advanced analyzer, AltaView, or the RT Protocol Validation Package, SAE AS4111 and AS4112 AltaRTVal, the PCI-1553 interface provides incredible value for avionics applications.
The Alta MIL-STD-1553 PCI-1553 Interface Card is based on the proven AltaCore protocol engine, which is the only commercial off the shelf (COTS) protocol engine to execute and pass SAE AS4111 protocol tests. AltaCore provides full RT subaddress/word count and mode code legalization (to support 1553A and other MIL-STD-1553 variants). Also, AltaCore provides advanced BC variable framing, subframing, conditional branching, and mask/compare interrupt functions. All BC, RT and Monitor buffers and in a common data packet format (industry first) and offer 64-bit, 20 nsec time stamps. The PCI-1553 card provides the most advanced protocol features coupled with the easiest to integrate application program interface, AltaAPI.
