The “Open Device” button opens a new Alta device for operation under AltaView. When this button is selected you will see the “Open Alta Device” dialog box.
This dialog-box displays a tree-view showing the Alta devices detected in the local system. Each Alta board in the tree includes the board serial number and information on the capabilities enabled for the board. The serial number is displayed as a four-digit date code (YYMM) followed by a five-digit sequence number. The capabilities are displayed in parenthesis following the serial number. The following table lists the possible capability codes and their meanings:
