Problems such as this can be attributed to the NIC (Network Interface Card) settings in Windows on modern computers.

A typical NIC setting that can be turned off is the “Energy Efficient Ethernet” or “Green Ethernet”.
When this setting is on, which is the default in NIC that support this, Ethernet packets are buffered for single
transmissions to reduce power.
This is NOT a good setting to have turned on when using the Alta ENET or ENET2 devices.

Additionally, in some cases on newer network switches, this is an optional setting as well.

If you still experience dropped packets using an Alta ENET device after ensuring that this feature is turned off in your NIC,
contact Alta support for assistance.
