Miniature 1553 Interface Advances Embedded and Portable Avionics Platforms

Rio Rancho, NM (August 1, 2017)Alta Data Technologies (Alta) announces the release of a full size F2 mini PCI Express Interface Card for MIL-STD-1553 Networks: MPCIE2-1553.  The MPCIE2-1553 product provides 1-2 dual redundant 1553B channels and is available in Dual (BM/BM or mRT/BM) or Full Function (BC/mRT/BM) models.  The product is designed around Alta’s advanced protocol engine (PE), AltaCore™, and includes Alta’s modular software development kit, AltaAPI™.

“This new MPCIE2-1553 card, based on industry leading AltaCore-1553 PE, provides advanced MIL-STD-1553 capabilities for embedded, COM Express and notebook/portable systems.  Alta implemented a native PCI Express design for increased performance and MSI interrupt support, and took the extra design effort to implement signal capture (o-scope on the first channel).” says Jake Haddock, CTO of Alta.

Harry Wild, VP of Sales of Alta states, “The new MPCIE2-1553 mini PCI Express card provides interface and test capabilities second to none, and our AltaAPI, AltaView-1553™ analyzer and AltaRTVal™ RT Validation software tools are the latest in modular, portable technologies.  Customers will achieve significant savings in integration and test time with these new products.  The A/D signal capture, signal generators, advanced BIT and dual temperature sensors are industry-leading features not found on competitor’s products.  We also offer single-card combination ARINC and 1553 PCI Express Configurations, and our Ethernet converter products (ENET) provide real-time 1553 or ARINC connectivity without processors or thick IP stacks.”
